Verdict:

The Vivo Y81 is a good-looking device with a moderate spec-sheet that does everything you would expect a smartphone to do, from a standard configuration to good cameras. However, it is worth mentioning that for the price, this phone is not competitive, it packs some low-end hardware, from the screen to low internal storage, lack of dual cameras or even the modest configurations, at this price segment we observe much better spec-sheets from other vendors. The phone will work well for daily usage but the price tag is too jacked up.

1.Display and Camera:

The Vivo Y81 features a 6.22-inches HD display with a screen resolution of 720 by 1,520 pixels, the aspect ratio is 19:9 and the pixel density is rather average 270 PPI, all of these translate in a standard visual experience. 

On the camera department, this phone carries a 13MP primary camera with PDAF, f2.2. aperture and flash. The camera takes great shots under good light conditions. The front camera is 5MP with f2.2 aperture and screen flash, which takes decent selfies. 

2.Storage and Configuration:

The Vivo Y81 packs a moderate 32GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 256GB, therefore, space should not be a major issue on this device. This phone is powered by the octa-core MediaTek Helio P22 chipset with Cortex A53 processor capable of reaching up to a 2GHz clock speed. Together with the PowerVR GE8320 GPU and a 3GB of RAM, the system delivers a satisfactory performance. 

3.Battery and Connectivity:

Battery-wise the Vivo Y81 stocks a decent 3,260 mAh Li-ion cell which powers this device throughout the day with ease. It is a 4G Volte compatible device with dual nano-sim slots. The networking features the Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, A-GPS and Glonass assisted location support etc. On the ports section, this device features a standard micro USB port for charging and mass storage as well as a 3.5 mm audio jack for your wired headphones.
